Acrylic Paint - care of your brushes.

CARE OF YOUR BRUSHES :

NEVER leave your brushes standing on their hairs or bristles.

When mixing a large amount of paint use a palette knife NOT a brush.

Clean your brushes IMMEDIATELY afetr use in the corredct solvent.

Make sure that EVERY TRACE of the pigment has been removed - right down to the ferrule end. Particles of pigment are abrasive and will soon wear done the hairs or bristles as well as spoiling the shape. Take EXTRA care when using Acrylic paints.

WASH the brushes finally in warm soapy water.

Wipe the brush CAREFULLY with a soft cloth and shape it to it's original position. (this is called "dressing the brush"). Leave to dry a room temperature.

Following the technique above should ensure that your brushes give you a long service, Philip Davey
